just wondering if anyone has any information of the parents or siblings of my grandparents they originally lived in centre ala. then moved to chattanooga where my grandfather passed away they had five sons robert,hugh b,william ,larry and edwin all but two have passed away so it has been hard for me to get any information on my ancestors
my grand father was a robert hester but i dont think he is the one you are looking for but maybe a grandson?? he lived in centre ala do you have any infromation about hesters from that area??

Hi, I am related to Katherine Hester and may have some new information. I read you message refrencing Abraham Hester. He had a brother William H Hester Jr. who died in Macon,Ga August 1864. A co worker of mine found his name among some family information passed on to him. William had a daughter Mary Jane Hester Riddle and his widow was Louisa Whitmire Hester.They lived in Dacusville,SC. William H Hester is buried in Rose Hill cemetary, Macon,Ga in the Confederate Solider section. I am going to try to locate the Grave. Please respond I have more information.
Is anyone else looking for Hesters in the Etowah County or Calhoun County part of Alabama? I am disturbed something I found out yesterday. There was a large tract of land that Christopher Hester owned just north of the county line between Calhoun and Etowah. There was a cemetery there but the state moved it to put in the four lane highway. I ran into a lady yesterday that inquired to the state about this cemetery. Someone told her that some things were better left alone. It was a mixed cemetery with both blacks and whites being buried here. there was reportedly about 150 graves. I can only find where they moved six of those. If anyone has found anything different I would love to hear from you. If anyone has hit the same road block maybe we can join together and find these missing people.
